Student Creations from Our Pottery Workshops
From wobbly bowls to hand-painted mugs, take a look at what our students have crafted at our Malad studio. Every piece here was made from scratch during our sessions.
So much personality in these little pots. One is decorated with sweet strawberries and the other with a bright red bow and a ladybug. These were hand-painted by students during a weekend workshop.
A beautiful, hand-built mug painted with delicate wildflowers. This piece shows how you can create functional art that's perfect for your morning chai or as a special handmade gift.
This "Silly Goose on the Loose" bowl is a perfect example of storytelling through art. The intricate details and playful text make this a truly one-of-a-kind piece created at the studio.
A full 360-degree view of a hand-painted doodle-art cup. This shows how a simple ceramic piece can become a canvas for complex and imaginative designs.
The ultimate glow-up. This before-and-after shot shows a plain terracotta cup transformed into a vibrant, doodle-covered brush holder. This is a great project for organizing art supplies.
Simple, sweet, and handmade. This little cup, painted with pastel flowers and a pink strawberry, is a charming example of the lovely creations that come out of my workshops.
About Gallery of Student Creations
When you join a session here, you are not just watching a demo. You get behind the wheel and hand-build your own pieces. Whether it is a bowl, a cup, or a clay animal, you leave the studio with your creation in your hands, not waiting for it to be fired in a kiln weeks later.
Our studio in Malad focuses on the process of clay art for children and adults alike. We strip away the technical stress of traditional pottery and focus on the joy of creating.
The Workshop Process
Each session is broken down into three main parts. First, we spend 15 to 20 minutes on the electric wheel, where I help you center the clay and pull up the walls of your pot. Next, we move to hand-building for 30 to 40 minutes, using techniques like pinching and coiling to shape figurines or detailed structures. Finally, we spend 30 minutes painting your pieces with acrylic colors.
Why Our Approach Works
Many people worry about having no experience, but that is exactly why this studio exists. We provide all necessary materials, including 500g to 750g of natural clay per person, tools, and branded aprons to keep your clothes clean. Because our pieces are decorative and not kiln-fired, you get the satisfaction of taking your work home immediately after the session. This makes our workshops perfect for families looking to spend a creative weekend in Mumbai or anyone wanting to escape the screen and get their hands dirty.
