Kids Pottery and Painting Workshops in Malad
Give your kids a break from screens and let them get their hands dirty. We host fun, guided pottery sessions where children can throw clay on the wheel and paint their own masterpieces to take home.
This smile says it all. There's nothing like the feeling of clay spinning under your hands for the first time. I make sure every child feels the magic of the potter's wheel in a fun and supportive way.
Pottery is a perfect family activity. Here, a mother and daughter are spending quality time together, painting their handmade creations at my open-air studio in Malad.
Look at that proud face. This young artist has just finished shaping his first pot on the wheel. My goal is for every child to leave with a sense of accomplishment and a masterpiece they're excited to show off.
From focused concentration at the wheel to the excitement of painting, this is what a weekend at my kids' pottery workshop looks like. It’s all about getting messy, having fun, and creating something wonderful.
The details make the difference. After the main shaping is done, kids can add their personal touch by painting their pieces. Here, a young artist is carefully painting a small, hand-built sculpture.
No experience is needed. I'm always right there to guide little hands, helping them learn the basics of wheel throwing in a way that feels like play. Even the youngest kids can create something amazing.
The beautiful results of a fun day. These hand-painted vases, one with a delicate floral design and the other with daisies, show how a simple clay pot can become a unique piece of art.
About Featured
Since these pieces are air-dried and hand-painted with acrylics, your child gets to take their creation home the very same day. No waiting weeks for kiln firing, just instant gratification and a happy little artist walking out with their own handmade bowl, figurine, or cup.
Our 90-minute sessions are designed for absolute beginners, so your child doesn't need to know a thing about pottery to join. We start with 15 to 20 minutes of wheel throwing, where I guide them through the basics of centering the clay and pulling up the walls. It gets messy, but that is part of the fun.
After the wheel, we move to 40 minutes of hand-building, where they use pinch, coil, or slab techniques to create animals, Ganeshas, or unique shapes. We wrap up with 30 minutes of acrylic painting to add those final pops of color using our pastel shades.
All materials like clay, paints, and aprons are provided, and the studio is open-air to keep the vibe relaxed. We focus more on the process and the sheer joy of creating than getting the perfect technical finish. It is a space for kids to experiment, play, and take home a souvenir they made with their own two hands.
