Wheel Pottery Workshops in Malad West
There is something satisfying about watching clay spin on a wheel. Whether you are a total beginner or just want to de-stress, come get your hands dirty at my rooftop studio.
From a simple lump of clay to a finished creation, this video shows the journey of making pottery on the wheel. I'm there to help you let your hands tell the story.
About Get Your Hands Dirty: Wheel Pottery
Working with a potter's wheel is harder than it looks, and you will probably make a mess, which is exactly the point. Don't worry about crafting a perfect vase on your first try, as I will be there to guide your hands. Even a wobbly, imperfect bowl is a win because you made it yourself.
Why Try Wheel Pottery?
People call it clay therapy for a reason. It is hard to think about your emails or city stress when you are focused on keeping your hands steady on the wheel. This session is designed for anyone, even if you have never touched clay before.
What to Expect
- The Session: You get 2.5 hours to experiment. We start with hand-building basics before moving to the electric wheel. You will get hands-on time to shape your own piece.
- The Studio: We host these sessions at our open-air rooftop studio in Malad West. It is a chill, sunset-view spot perfect for disconnecting.
- Firing Process: Because we are working with real earthenware, I include the professional bisque firing for one of your masterpieces. Since this involves a kiln, your finished piece will be ready for collection 2 to 3 weeks after the session.
Quick Tips for Your Visit
- Dress Code: Wear something you do not mind getting a little dusty. We provide aprons, but clay is clay.
- Skill Level: Zero experience is needed. I guide you step by step through every stage of the throwing process.
- Group Size: These sessions are intimate. Whether you come alone or with a small group, you will get plenty of personal guidance to help you craft your own mystery.
