Authentic Homemade Gujarati Snacks
Taste the real flavours of Gujarat with my homemade snacks. Everything is made from scratch in my kitchen, using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients.
This is a little glimpse into my kitchen where I prepare fresh Gujarati Ghughra. You can see the entire process, from making the potato and peas filling to shaping the dough and getting it ready. I never use frozen or pre-made items. ✨
About Homemade Gujarati Snacks
I prepare every batch of snacks only after you place your order, so you get the crispiness of fresh dough and the warmth of real spices, not something that has been sitting in a freezer. If you are planning a kitty party or need bulk snacks for an event, please give me at least 24 hours notice so I can source fresh vegetables and prepare everything by hand.
When you choose homemade snacks, you are looking for that specific flavour that packet food just cannot match. Whether it is my hand-rolled Methi Thepla, soft White Dhokla, or those crescent-shaped Ghughra filled with a spiced potato and peas mixture, my focus is always on the quality of ingredients. I do not use any frozen or pre-made patties in my kitchen. Everything, from the stuffing to the outer crust, is shaped and cooked fresh.
Why fresh makes a difference
Most commercial snacks are mass-produced and stored for weeks. In my kitchen, the process starts only when you confirm your order. This means when you bite into a Ghughra or a samosa, you get the actual taste of fresh ingredients, not a preserved version. I use quality sunflower or groundnut oil for frying and ensure that oil is never reused, keeping the snacks clean and light on your stomach.
Popular Gujarati snack options
My kitchen is well-equipped to prepare a variety of traditional items for your tea time, tiffin, or even large gatherings:
- Ghughra: My signature crescent pastries filled with a flavourful blend of green peas and coconut or potatoes.
- Methi Thepla: Soft, thin flatbreads perfect for travel or as a healthy snack with tea.
- Dry Mini Snacks: Options like Kachoris or mini Samosas that store well and are great for gifting or bulk event requirements.
If you have specific dietary needs, like Jain food without root vegetables or garlic, just let me know when you book. I take special care to ensure the preparation aligns with your requirements.
