Authentic Marwadi Snacks and Handmade Traditions by Dadisaa
We are Usha and Meenakkshi, a mother-daughter team sharing the comfort of Dadisaa ke haath ka khana. Explore our handmade snacks, crafted with pure desi ghee and age-old recipes.
This is our Dadisaa, Usha, with the snacks she loves to make. For us, true abundance isn't just about having a lot, it's about having food that is wholesome, nourishing, and made with love. This is the goodness we pack in every order.
We believe in doing things the right way, not the easy way. This photo of Dadisaa represents our core promise: every snack is handmade, with no preservatives, no palm oil, and no shortcuts. It’s just pure, honest food.
Our snack platter is a tour of Marwadi flavours. It features a variety of our handmade treats, from flaky mathri and crispy nimki to traditional sweets. We joke that our food has side effects, but the only real one is happiness.
This is our story. In this video, we, the mother-daughter duo, share how Happy Grandmaa Kitchen started during Covid. Mom, Usha Dadisaa, explains in her own words how cooking for others brought her joy and how this passion continues to grow.
It means the world to us when our food becomes a part of your home. We were so happy to receive this wonderful feedback from journalist Nandita Puri, who loved our Masala Mathis and Mohanthaal.
Come inside our kitchen for a moment. This video shows Dadisaa and our team during preparation for a big event. You can see the care that goes into making fresh batches, from mixing the dough to the final packing.
We love this fun graphic because it captures the feeling our snacks evoke. They might make you miss your dadi, start a spontaneous family gathering, or find yourself saying "bas ek aur" just one more time.
After all is said and done, it comes down to one simple truth: nothing beats the taste of food made by Dadisaa's hands. This is your invitation to taste the tradition and love we pour into every batch.
About Featured
Every batch is hand-kneaded using pure desi ghee and absolutely zero preservatives or palm oil. Since we prepare these in small batches, our snacks retain the distinct khasta, or flaky, texture that mass-produced, industrial packets simply cannot match.
When we started Happy Grandmaa Kitchen during the pandemic, our only goal was to bring the taste of a real Marwadi home to our neighbours. We do not use machines for kneading or cutting, which is why you might notice irregular edges on our Nimki or Swaali. That is simply a sign of food made by hand, not by a conveyor belt.
We take the 'no shortcuts' promise very seriously. Whether it is our classic Diamond-shaped Nimki, the pepper-spiced Masala Mathri, or our Karela Nimki, every ingredient is sourced for quality. We rely on family recipes that use pure ghee for both flavour and that essential crunch. Because we avoid preservatives and commercial additives, our snacks are fresh and have a shorter shelf life than store-bought varieties, but that is the trade-off for a truly authentic taste.
Our kitchen currently serves the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. Because we fry in fresh oil batches and focus on quality, we typically require a 24-hour lead time for orders, especially for our fresh fried items like Samosas and Kachoris. We invite you to try a box and see if you find yourself saying 'bas ek aur' as often as our regulars do. It is our way of keeping the tradition alive, one snack at a time. Har Ghadi Nashto Ghadi.
