Eco Haat & Purana Baksa Community Events
Join our Eco Haat markets and Purana Baksa drives in Gurgaon to shop sustainably, swap pre-loved items, and support local eco-conscious businesses.
A live conversation with our founder Juhi and member Sargam discussing our 'Purana Baksa' initiative. We talk about the problem of overconsumption and how giving away unneeded but good-condition items can help others and the planet.
Meet the participants of our Eco Haat. We provide a platform for small, sustainable businesses like Forest Lab (bio-enzyme cleaners), V Kraft House (upcycled decor), and Ghroo Foods (healthy snacks) to reach a wider audience.
An invitation to our Eco Haat at Heritage Max. Our sustainable stall featured a Diwali swap, on-the-spot bio-enzyme making, upcycled crafts, and free takeaways for a fun-filled evening.
A big thank you to Azure Power for hosting our sustainable products showcase. We collaborated with several eco-conscious brands to spread awareness and make sustainable products more accessible.
The activities planned for our February meet-up, which included a 'Trash to Treasure' exhibition. This initiative allows people to find new treasures among pre-loved items priced at just Rs 20.
An invitation to our February meet-up, combining a DIY organic product-making session with our 'Trash to Treasure' exhibition. It's all about connecting with nature and an eco-conscious community.
About Eco Haat & Purana Baksa: Our Marketplace Events
When you visit a Purana Baksa event, you aren't just shopping—you’re participating in a circular economy where high-quality, pre-loved items find new homes instead of landfills. Prices start as low as ₹20, and every piece of clutter you rehome funds our next local cleanup drive, making it a win-win for your home and the city.
What Happens at Our Events
Our marketplace events are built on the simple idea of mera kachra, meri zimmedari (my waste, my responsibility). We host two primary community experiences:
- Eco Haat: This is our platform for local, sustainable businesses to showcase their products. From bio-enzyme cleaners by Forest Lab to upcycled decor by V Kraft House, you get to support small ventures that align with a greener lifestyle. It is a space to connect with fellow eco-enthusiasts and find alternatives to mass-produced goods.
- Purana Baksa: We often see people holding onto stuff they don't use simply because they feel guilty throwing it away. At our thrift and swap drives, we collect these pre-loved, good-condition items and sell them at minimal prices. It helps you declutter your space, gives someone else a treasure, and keeps perfectly good goods out of the waste cycle.
Why We Do This
We don't want to just talk about sustainability; we want to make it a part of your weekend plans in Gurgaon. Whether it is a meet-up at Leisure Valley or a showcase at Anant Raj Maceo, these events are informal, accessible, and inclusive. We often include DIY sessions, like making bio-enzymes from citrus peels, so you leave with more than just a purchase—you leave with a skill.
Join the Tribe
We are a group of regular folks—students, moms, and volunteers—trying to bring back the low-waste habits of the dadi-nani era. If you have been looking for an entry point into conscious living, our events are the perfect place to start. Bring your friends, bring your family, and come see how simple it is to build a cleaner Gurgaon together.
Zero Waste
We are a group of regular folks, moms, and volunteers who believe that small, conscious changes in how we live can actually fix things for our kids. We started Zero Waste Gurgaon because we were tired of just hearing about climate change, so we created spaces like these events to help you declutter, swap, and shop guilt-free.
