About Community Conservation Events
Our Approach: Bringing Back Simple Living
We’re all about reconnecting with nature, the way our dadi-nani (grandparents) did. Climate change is real - you can see it in the bin mausam baarish (weird rains) and those smoky landfills. We know it feels too big to fix, but chota chota steps (small steps) matter.
What We Do
- Urban Bliss: Plogging event Gurgaon style - we hit the Aravalli trails, picking up kachra (trash) as we trek. It's not serious, it’s more like a plogging picnic. Everyone’s welcome, no prior gyaan (expertise) needed.
- Roots for Tomorrow: We roll up our sleeves to do native tree plantation Gurgaon style. Dhak, Kher - all the local saplings that actually belong here. Expect muddy hands, some drawing and poetry, and kids running around.
- More Ways to Connect: Sometimes we swap plogging for bird walks, moonlight treks, or just chilling together, sharing stories about nature.
What To Expect
- Total mix of people - solo, families, kids. You don’t need any fancy gear, just bring a bottle and tiffin. Hum zero waste pe full focus rakhte hain (We’re obsessed with zero waste).
- Real community vibes - you meet folks who actually care, not just talk.
Why Join?
We keep it simple: Mera kachra, meri zimmedari (My trash, my responsibility). It’s not about being perfect. It’s about all of us, together, doing little things. If you want to see Aravalli forest restoration for real, not just Insta reels, come join in.

My Story
Our journey kicked off when I became a mom and started worrying about what kind of world my kid would inherit. Money’s one thing, but clean water and air? That’s real wealth. Sargam once found jeans and shoes dumped in a forest – crazy, right? That’s when Purana Baksa happened. We’re just a bunch of volunteers, moms, students, regular folks. We mess up sometimes, but we keep trying. Third Sunday, every month, we show up for our city and our kids.
My Work
What we do - We run workshops, thrift drives, sacred flower composting, cleanup events, and eco-challenges for kids.
Pavitra Pushp Visarjan - We turn puja flowers into compost, room fresheners, even skin toners. No more festival guilt!
Purana Baksa Thrift Drives - Declutter before Diwali! Donate unused stuff, we sell it cheap and fund cleanup drives. Eco-friendly decluttering.
Workshops & Awareness - Our sessions are hands-on and lively. We show how to compost and be a 'Planet Protector.'
Urban Bliss Cleanup Drives - Join us for plogging and cleanup at spots like Leopard Trail. Good for nature, good for the soul.
