About From Waste to Wealth: Composting & Bio-Enzymes

You do not need expensive gadgets or a massive garden to start. In our sessions, we teach the traditional matka composting method and show you how to transform common kitchen items like citrus peels into powerful bio-enzymes. These solutions effectively replace toxic, store-bought chemical cleaners in your home.

Why Composting Matters

Kitchen waste shouldn't end up in landfills. When we toss peels, stalks, and scraps into a mixed bin, they get packed down without oxygen and produce methane, which is far more harmful than carbon dioxide. By composting at home, you stop this cycle and create rich, nutrient-dense 'soil food' for your plants instead.

What You Will Learn

Our workshops are designed to be practical, not preachy. We cut out the fancy jargon and focus on what you can actually do in your own kitchen.

  • Matka Composting: We demystify the classic earthen pot method. You will learn the balance of greens (scraps) and browns (dry leaves/cardboard) needed to create healthy soil without attracting pests.
  • Bio-Enzyme Making: Discover the power of fermenting citrus peels (oranges, lemons, sweet lime) with jaggery and water. This creates a multipurpose, non-toxic cleaner that cuts through grease, cleans floors, and even helps wash vegetables.
  • Waste Segregation Drills: Learn the real difference between wet, dry, and hazardous waste so you stop sending recyclables to the landfill.
