About Behind the Scenes: My Craft
Most people only see the finished outfit, but the real work happens before that. Every order starts with me inspecting the fabric, whether it is crisp pure cotton or handloom Ikat. I personally manage the sizing and stitch details to ensure the pockets are functional and the hem is right. It is a slow process, but it is the only way I know to make sure you get something that feels like home when you wear it.
At Yuva Studios, I believe that what you wear should reflect your values. My studio in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai, is where I turn raw handloom fabric into comfortable daily wear.
The process starts with the fabric. I source high-quality Ikat and cotton, then we layout the patterns to minimize waste. Because I offer everything from XS to 6XL, I spend time adjusting the silhouettes to ensure that whether you are wearing a straight-cut kurta or a flared Anarkali, it fits comfortably.
If you ever feel nervous about buying online, know that I am right here on the other side of the phone. Whether it is a quick chat about sleeve lengths or checking if a specific shade of Ikat will suit your workplace, I am happy to help.
I also embrace the small variations that come with handcrafted textiles. That is the beauty of it. It is not mass-produced, so your piece might have unique characteristics, which I think makes it yours alone. If you have a specific event coming up or need a size adjustment, reach out. We can usually get ready stock out within 24 to 48 hours, and custom orders are ready in just a few days.
