Realistic Portrait Tattoos in Bangalore
Capturing the likeness of someone you love requires more than just ink. I focus on the tiny details—the depth in the eyes, the subtle highlights—to create a permanent tribute that actually looks like them.

About Portraits in Ink
A portrait is a heavy responsibility because you are trusting me with someone who matters to you. Before we ever touch a needle to your skin, I spend time on digital photo editing to boost contrast and analyze how your muscle movement will affect the image. If the reference photo is not sharp, we work on it together until we have something that will translate perfectly. This is not a quick session, but it is the only way to ensure the eyes and expression look real and remain sharp over time.
The Process Behind the Portrait
Realism is the most challenging style in tattooing. It requires a different approach than simple lines or script. At Xtreme Tattoos, we use specific techniques like whip shading and dotwork to build realistic skin textures, hair, and depth.
We typically dedicate 5 to 8 hours to a single portrait session. This isn't just about speed; it's about precision. We use high-end equipment, including single-use RL cartridges for crisp details and Magnum needles for soft shading.
What You Need to Know
- Photo Quality: The quality of the tattoo depends entirely on the reference. I need a clear, high-resolution photo with good lighting. If you only have a blurry print, I will be honest with you about whether it will work or if we need to adjust the design.
- Placement: Muscle structure matters. We choose placement where the image won't warp when you move your arm or leg.
- Aftercare: Portraits are intensive work. You will leave with specific instructions on cleaning, using soothing ointment, and protecting the area. We even schedule a follow-up check after two weeks to ensure the healing is going exactly as it should.
Whether you are looking to get a portrait of a family member, a pet, or someone you admire, my goal is the same—to provide an honest, safe, and professional experience at our studios in Jayanagar, Hanumanthnagar, or Banashankari.
Xtreme Tattoos
I'm Srinivas, and I run Xtreme Tattoos across our Bangalore studios. When you come in for a portrait, I treat it like a serious piece of art because I know the person in that photo matters to you. I don't believe in rushing the process; we sit down, look at the reference, and talk about what will age well on your skin.
