About Bold Realism: Portraits & Wildlife
We use digital editing to map out shading and skin anatomy before we ever touch a needle to you. For portraits, this means we analyze eye reflections and hair texture first, ensuring the design fits the natural flow of your body rather than just sitting flat on top of your skin. If you are planning a large piece, we recommend a preliminary chat so we can test the placement.
Realism is unforgiving. Unlike tribal or traditional styles, a portrait or wildlife piece relies entirely on capturing light, shadow, and texture to look authentic. At our studio, we approach these pieces with a strict focus on preparation. We spend time adjusting your reference photos for contrast and anatomical fit, then map the shading flow onto your skin before the tattooing begins.
We use high-density imported pigments to ensure your piece keeps its depth and does not fade to a washed-out blue over time. Whether it is a memorial portrait, a pet study, or a detailed wildlife animal like a lion or tiger, we prioritize sharp textures and accurate shading.
Pricing for this level of detail ranges from ₹900 to ₹1300 per square inch, depending on the complexity of the shading and color requirements. This price includes the design adjustment session. If you have an old tattoo you are unhappy with, our realism artists can also assess if a cover-up is viable using these same techniques. Come visit our studio in Hulimavu to sit down with us, show us your reference photo, and let us explain how we can turn your idea into ink.
