Realistic Portrait Tattoos in Bengaluru
I turn your most precious photographs into permanent, lifelike ink. Whether it is a memorial for a loved one, a tribute to a hero, or a portrait of your pet, I use fine-line shading to capture the true expression and soul of the image on your skin.

From a simple stencil to a living portrait on skin. This video shows the process of creating a realistic face tattoo of a loved one. I take great care to ensure every detail from the reference photo is perfectly translated into the final tattoo.
About Realistic Portrait Tattoos
For portrait realism, the secret is in the preparation. I do not just copy a photo, I map the shadows, mid-tones, and highlights using a multi-layer stencil before the machine even touches your skin. Whether you want to honor a family member or a pet, I use specific black-grey wash techniques to achieve photo-realistic smoothness without the harsh, cartoonish outlines found in low-quality work.
How I Approach Realism
A portrait tattoo is a heavy responsibility. You are trusting me to capture someone you love, and I take that seriously. Before we start, I spend time with your reference photo. I correct the lighting and contrast, then map the features using a complex, multi-layer stencil. This ensures the eyes have depth, the skin texture looks natural, and the expression is actually them.
The Technical Side
I do not believe in heavy outlines for portraits. I use a technique called grey wash, where I dilute black ink into light, medium, and dark tones. This allows me to build the face layer by layer, almost like painting with a needle. For finer details like hair strands or reflections in the eyes, I switch to bugpin needles. This session is intense, usually lasting 5 to 8 hours, but we take the breaks you need to stay comfortable.
Caring for Your Piece
After the session, I provide a detailed briefing on how to handle the healing. You will get a cling wrap application to protect the tattoo from dust, and we will go over the cleaning protocol using green soap. A portrait needs to heal clean to stay realistic, so I check back with you after 4 weeks to ensure everything looks perfect.
