Why I Do This
Every event is a story waiting to be told. I’m not here to just make things look pretty - I want your celebration to feel like you. Whether it’s a small dinner or a full-blown wedding, I take the time to understand what matters to you, so the vibe feels personal, not just pulled from Pinterest.
My Process
I start by listening to your story and ideas, then we build a theme together. Sometimes it’s rooted in art - like channeling Raja Ravi Varma with soft, dramatic fabrics. Sometimes it’s a full-blown botanical themed decor, turning halls into lush ‘Garden of Gaia’ spaces for a seemantha or naming ceremony. I love bringing in heritage inspired backdrops too, like hand-cut Thikri mirror mosaics made by North Indian artisans.
The Details
Flowers, fruits, fabrics - I use them all. I’ve done everything from massive floral mandaps to symbolic floral installations with marigolds (gendaphool) and tropical blooms. I go deep into the little stuff: dragonfly ornaments, velvet sofas, even custom coasters with your pet’s face. If you want something from scratch, I’m game - like that green suede bar or interactive overlays telling your journey.
Where I Work
Mostly Bangalore, but I travel wherever the story takes me - Goa resorts, backyards, you name it.

Hey, I’m Nilma and this is With Love. We’re a bunch of slightly mad, very thoughtful designers who think celebrations should feel real, not just look good. We listen to your story – your quirks, your roots – and build spaces that feel like you. Candlelight, linen textures, maybe even your dog's face on a coaster, we get into all those tiny things. Nature, tradition, nāmakaraṇa (naming ceremony), all inspire us. We’re here to make your day feel like home, with heart.
