Inspired by ocean hues and natural textures, this home is a breezy, coastal-themed retreat. See how we used soft blues, greens, and custom details to create a calm, airy space in the city.

Walk with us through the Aqua Home and soak in the vibe of this airy, breezy space. The palette of blues and greens is the hero here, reinterpreted in multiple ways to create a home that is harmonious and calm.

The foyer of the Aqua Home makes a stunning first impression with its green and white marble checkerboard floor. A simple woven bench and a large round mirror create a welcoming and stylish entryway.

A view from the living room into the foyer, where a long console provides ample storage. The gallery wall of botanical prints and a large woven pendant light introduce the home's modern coastal theme.

The entryway sets a relaxed yet elegant tone with its green checkered floors, woven bench, and oversized rattan pendant lights. This space immediately draws you into the home's calm, coastal-inspired world.

The living room reflects a relaxed, beachy vibe with an elegant, understated feel. The furniture includes a mix of slipcovered sofas, cane armchairs, and a unique burl veneer coffee table, all in a palette of soft neutrals and blues.

The living room overlooks the dining space, framed by an open metal partition in a soft French blue. This design element defines the areas while maintaining an open, airy feel.

The crisp tones of blues and greens in the living room are balanced by the warmth of wood. A built-in bookshelf in a rich wood tone provides a beautiful backdrop for styling and display.

About this collection

Notice the light, duck egg blue partitions used to zone the dining and kitchen areas. We designed these as metal and glass frames to keep the layout open and airy, rather than closing it off with solid walls. It creates that breezy coastal flow while still giving the kitchen and puja nook their own distinct, functional spaces.

This project centers on the concept of modern coastal living adapted for a city apartment. We wanted to move away from typical trends and create a space that feels like a quiet, refreshing escape. The design relies heavily on a soft palette of duck egg blue, muted greens, and sandy neutrals to mimic the sea and sky.

The flooring was a critical decision for setting the mood. We used a green and white marble checkerboard pattern in the foyer and kitchen, grounding the airy furniture with a classic, high-contrast element. To keep the home from feeling segmented, we utilized metal and glass partitions. These frames allow light to travel freely between the living room, dining area, and kitchen, maintaining a sense of openness without sacrificing the distinct functionality of each zone.

Texture plays a major role in keeping the coastal vibe warm rather than clinical. We introduced cane and rattan furniture, burl veneer finishes, and wood rafters in the bedroom to add tactile depth. One of our favorite additions is the custom mural along the dining wall, featuring Bangalore’s signature Gulmohar trees. It brings a local touch to the coastal theme, ensuring the design feels rooted in its environment.

Lighting was designed to be layered, moving away from harsh central sources. You will see oversized rattan pendants in the entryway and architectural profile lighting in the kitchen, ensuring that the atmosphere can shift from bright and functional during the day to soft and moody in the evening. This approach to layering light and material ensures that the home feels both elegant and lived-in.
