Inclusive Play Workshops in Bangalore
A sensory-friendly space where children of all abilities build, connect, and create together without pressure.
We are excited to announce our 'Inclusion Matters' event. It’s a space for all children to engage in fun activities, build with our wooden planks, and experience the joy of creating together. Join us and help spread the word.
OVERCOMING NERVOUSNESS! Engaging in an immersive activity like building with our planks helps channel nervous energy into creativity. We were so happy to see this participant find his focus and build two different structures, redirecting anxiety into emotional stability.
A young builder completely absorbed in his work. The desire to create materializes from imagination into action, building confidence with each plank placed. Our workshops are a space for quiet focus and flexible thinking.

The bond between a child and a mentor is truly special. Here, a participant proudly stands by his creation while sharing a moment of connection. These interactions are what add so much value to our work in the community.

EXPLORING CURIOSITY! We met this curious participant at Mitra Habba, an inclusive carnival. She immediately started exploring the blocks, testing how they balance and connect, and quickly began building imaginative models one after another.
About this collection
We maintain a 1:4 mentor-to-child ratio in every session. This low ratio ensures that your child receives the specific support they need to feel regulated and confident, whether they prefer quiet, solo building or collaborative projects. Our sessions are designed to be sensory-friendly, meaning we prioritize the environment just as much as the blocks.
Our approach to play is built on the philosophy of open-ended exploration. We use identical, chemically untreated pine planks that require no glue, magnets, or connectors. By removing these constraints, we remove the pressure to follow instructions or create a 'perfect' model. This simple shift allows children to focus on spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, and emotional regulation.
Why Build-It Works for Neurodiverse Needs
We recognize that traditional structured play can be overwhelming. In our sessions, we focus on:
- Sensory Regulation: We create a calm, managed environment. If a child needs to step back, we have quiet zones to help them self-regulate.
- Parallel Play: Children can work alongside each other without the demand of forced social interaction. It is a space where they can be themselves.
- Non-Verbal Communication: For kids who find talking challenging, building is a powerful way to express ideas and connect with peers.
We have seen incredible moments at events like Mitra Habba, where children of all backgrounds come together to build towers, bridges, and abstract sculptures. Whether your child is 4 or 20, our workshops in Yelahanka and across Bangalore provide a space to explore STEAM concepts like gravity, balance, and pattern recognition through hands-on, tactile play. We believe that when we take the rules out of the equation, the focus shifts to the joy of discovery.
Build-It
We are Build-It. We started this because we saw too many kids struggling with rigid school structures and screens. We use simple pine wood planks to turn play into a space for connection, where every child can feel safe, heard, and free to create.
