About Family & Parent-Child Bonding Workshops
Why We Do This
At Build-It, we set up these workshops because there’s nothing quite like watching parents and kids get lost in a building session together. The best bits aren’t just the final towers or bridges, but the goofy teamwork, random ideas, and those moments where you both just get it. We want families to have a spot where you can really tune in to each other and just have fun.
What’s the Vibe?
- We kick things off with a quick story to fire up your imagination.
- You get a pile of wooden planks - all the same size - and then you make whatever pops into your head. No step-by-step guides, just your own ideas and a bit of gravity.
- Sometimes we run little challenges, like who can make the longest bridge or the coolest animal, but it’s always more about working together than winning.
- Everything you need is already there - just bring your child and your curiosity.
You might bump into us at a bookstore, a neighbourhood habba (festival), or during special themed events like our Father's Day PlayDate.
What Your Kids Get Out of It
- Loads of creative freedom and a chance to show off their imagination.
- Real hands-on STEM learning for kids - stuff like balance and shapes just happens while you play.
- Builds patience, teamwork, and confidence in a way that’s actually fun.
Who Shows Up
Families with kids aged 4-14, anyone wanting some screen-free family bonding, or just parents looking for a mindful way to spend time with their kids. Dads, moms, you’re all welcome - we run themed events for both.

My Story
We’re Build-It. We got this idea from watching how kids struggle with boring maths and science in school. Why not make it fun, right? So we started with simple wooden planks—no fancy tech, just pure imagination. Kids (and adults!) get hooked, building whatever pops into their head. We see it at places like Mitra Habba—neurodiverse, shy, loud, everyone joins in. It’s not about perfect towers, it’s about that spark in their eyes. That’s what we love.
My Work
What we do - We run open-ended play workshops and brain gym sessions with wooden planks for kids, families, schools, and even corporate events.
Open-Ended Play - No rules, no goals—just build, break, and try again. Every time is different. Imagination leads the way.
STEAM, but hands-on - We sneak in science, math, art, and more. Kids get to try out balance, patterns, geometry, all that, while playing.
Skills for life - It’s more than play—think motor skills, focus, problem-solving, and even talking to each other. Everyone learns something.
Where you’ll find us - We’re all over Bangalore—community events, studios, schools, you name it. Especially love working with neurodiverse kids.
