Whether you need a dedicated prayer room or a compact unit integrated into your living space, we design sacred corners that balance tradition with modern aesthetics.

Divine deserves design. We transformed this prayer space into a sanctuary of peace and elegance, with soft backlighting, an illuminated 'Om' symbol, and clean, white shelving.

About Sacred Spaces: Pooja Units

Integrating a prayer unit does not mean sacrificing your floor plan. We often design custom pooja spaces that flow seamlessly into your dining or living areas—such as units combined with crockery cabinets or partitioned by fluted glass—ensuring your daily rituals feel private yet perfectly connected to the rest of your home.

Designing Your Sacred Space

A pooja unit is often the emotional anchor of a home, yet it is frequently the most challenging to place. In urban apartments, we rarely have the luxury of a separate room. Our approach is to treat the prayer space as a piece of architectural furniture rather than an afterthought. We focus on three core elements: Vastu compliance, lighting, and integration.

Vastu and Spatial Planning

Many clients come to us with strict Vastu requirements regarding direction and placement. We work with these constraints early in the design phase. Whether it requires wall-mounted units to keep the floor clear or tall cabinets that define a zone within an open-concept living room, our layouts prioritize both functional flow and traditional principles. We have successfully integrated prayer units into tight corners of 3BHKs in projects like Sobha Royal Pavilion, ensuring they feel intentional.

Materiality and Lighting

Lighting transforms a prayer unit from a cupboard into a sanctuary. We avoid harsh, direct light, preferring soft backlighting behind idols or concealed strip lighting in niches. Materials are chosen for both aesthetics and ease of maintenance. Think white laminate interiors for a bright, clean look, or veneers with brass accents for warmth. We often use fluted glass partitions or CNC-cut screens to create a visual barrier that maintains the sanctity of the space without blocking light or making the room feel smaller.

Why Custom Matters

Off-the-shelf units rarely fit the exact dimensions or style of a modern interior. By building your pooja unit in-house, we control every detail, from the height of the shelves to the ease of the door hinges. If you have a specific vision—traditional carvings or minimalist contemporary—we execute it to match your home’s existing theme.
