About this collection

When we design a mandir, we focus on the transition from the living space to the sacred zone. We typically use vertical wooden slats to create a semi-permeable boundary, allowing the room to feel private yet connected to the home, while ensuring the lighting is soft and focused to create an atmosphere of stillness.

The Pooja room is the soul of the home. In our practice, we believe that spiritual spaces require the same level of architectural rigour as any other room. We move away from cluttered, generic designs to create prayer areas that integrate seamlessly into modern Bengaluru interiors.

The Art of Sacred Geometry

Every project begins with a Vastu assessment. We look at the orientation of your home and the placement of the entrance to ensure the mandir is positioned to invite positive energy. Our approach balances ancient guidelines with contemporary aesthetics, ensuring the space feels right for your lifestyle.

Materiality and Light

We favor natural materials to ground the space. You will see us using teak wood for structural elements, often combined with marble or stone platforms to provide a clean, durable base.

Lighting is critical. We avoid harsh overhead lights in favor of:

  • Ambient profile lighting behind vertical slats
  • Warm focus lights over the deity area
  • Subtle cove lighting to create a halo effect

Creating a Transition

The threshold matters. We design custom-made wooden doors, often featuring intricate carvings or CNC patterns, that serve as a visual bridge. This transition helps shift your mindset from the bustle of the house to the calm of the prayer room. Whether you have a dedicated room or a compact wall unit, we apply these principles of flow, light, and material harmony to define your sacred corner.
