Help your child find their voice. From puppetry and mime to Yakshagana and acting, our workshops in JP Nagar turn creative energy into full-stage magic.

A bird's eye view of the magic! Our young performers from the summer camp showcase their Yakshagana-inspired piece to a packed house. This high-energy performance is a result of their dedicated learning in folk arts.

A scene from the summer camp play, where students bring together skills in acting, mime, and storytelling. It's incredible to witness their confidence and teamwork shine on stage after just a few weeks.

A group of young mimes getting ready for their scene. Our workshops teach children how to use their bodies to tell stories, building confidence and creative expression in a fun, supportive environment.

A behind the scenes look at our shadow puppetry segment. The children are completely engrossed as they operate the puppets they created, learning about visual storytelling in a unique and engaging way.

The final bow. A moment of shared pride and accomplishment as our young stars take a bow after their fantastic performance. The applause from the audience is a testament to their hard work and talent.

A dramatic moment captured on stage. Two young actors fully in character during their play, showcasing the acting and stage presence skills they developed during our children's theatre classes.

Dressed in vibrant costumes, our students perform a folk dance piece. Our summer camps introduce children to a variety of Indian performing arts, including Yakshagana, fostering a connection with our rich cultural heritage.

The whole crew! A wonderful group photo of all the participants, facilitators, and parents from our 'Summer at Vyoma' showcase. It's a celebration of community, creativity, and the hard work of our young talents.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Students collaborate on stage to create a beautiful, dynamic pose during their final performance. Our classes emphasize working together and supporting each other as an ensemble.

A repeat of the dynamic on-stage collaboration, showing the energy and focus of our young performers. This moment captures the essence of ensemble work that we teach in our children's theatre programs.

About Summer at Vyoma: Where Kids Shine

We believe theatre is a masterclass in life skills. In our weekly and summer sessions, kids don't just memorize lines. They design their own props, practice traditional folk arts like Yakshagana, and work as an ensemble to script and perform a play from start to finish on our professional black-box stage.

Our programs are designed to be a safe, fun space for our 'putta puttis' (little ones) to explore. We strip away the intimidation factor of traditional acting classes and replace it with creative play.

Hands-On Learning

Kids engage with the entire production process. It is not just about acting; it is about building a foundation for confidence. They get hands-on experience in:

  • Performance: Voice diction, mime, and acting techniques.
  • Technical Arts: Prop making with sustainable materials and costume design basics.
  • Creative Narrative: Script writing and visual storytelling.

Why a Black-Box Experience Matters

By training in a professional black-box theatre, children learn to navigate stage lighting, spatial awareness, and audience engagement early on. Whether they are performing a shadow puppetry segment or a vibrant folk dance, they are doing it on a real stage, not a classroom floor. This gives them a sense of ownership over their craft.

Our Approach

We keep our batches small, typically 12 to 18 children, to ensure every participant gets personal attention from our facilitators. This intimacy allows for a supportive environment where shy kids find their volume and energetic kids find their focus. We regularly collaborate with guest artists to bring in variety, so every season offers something fresh for returning students.
