Photography Career Milestones & Industry Recognition
A look back at 16 years behind the lens, from early fashion editorials and conceptual shoots to national mentorships and industry jury roles.
I'm proud to be a Nisi India Mentor, where I get to share my knowledge of photography with a wider community. It's an honor to be part of a family that supports photographers.
It was a privilege to serve as a jury member for the Danj Influencer Awards at Beach Fashion Week. Recognizing and celebrating new talent is a part of the industry I deeply enjoy.
As a member of the ThinkTank Pro Team for India, I rely on gear that is tough and reliable. My Airport Navigator bag is a constant companion on all my shoots, big or small.
This is a black and white portrait I shot over a decade ago. It's a reminder that good lighting and a strong composition are timeless, and it's one of those images that I still feel proud of.
An older fashion editorial shot with an underwater theme. Creative and conceptual shoots like this are a chance to push boundaries and create something truly memorable.
About My Recognition & Journey
After 16 years, my focus has shifted from just capturing frames to helping others see light the way I do. While I still thrive on the energy of a high-fashion campaign, I am now equally invested in my role as a mentor—whether that is reviewing portfolios, teaching workshop participants, or sharing technical know-how with the Nisi India community.
My journey has never been about gear obsession. It has been about solving visual problems.
Industry Mentorship As a Nisi India Mentor, I don't just talk about filters; I teach the technical application of light control. It is about helping others understand why a certain glass makes a difference in a fashion editorial or a commercial product shot.
Judging Talent Being on the jury for events like the Danj Influencer Awards at Beach Fashion Week was a reality check on how the industry is evolving. Seeing fresh talent allows me to stay grounded and keep my own creative vision relevant.
The Right Tools Being part of the ThinkTank Pro Team isn't about endorsements. It is about reliability. When I am on a shoot, I need gear that survives the chaos of a set.
Where It Started I still go back to my early black-and-white portraits from over a decade ago. Those images remind me that before the lights and the cameras, the only thing that mattered was the composition. If you can make a powerful image with basic setups, you can make a masterpiece with anything.
