Editorial & Magazine Features Styling
I craft visual stories for editorial and magazine shoots. From high-fashion spreads to bold artistic concepts, I help translate your brand or personal identity into striking, print-ready visuals.
This high-fashion editorial look features a shimmering silver sequined gown with a draped neckline. Paired with a bold metallic eye and statement jewelry, the styling creates a glamorous and futuristic feel, perfect for a striking magazine photo.
For this Rocky Star campaign shoot with Mandana Karimi, I created a high-contrast, edgy look. The styling combines a structured white top with intricate black detailing, leather gloves, and textured tights to create a bold, rock-chic aesthetic.
A shot from my work with musician Bianca Gomes of Shor Police. The movement in her vibrant pink hair is the focus, complemented by a studded black top that adds a bit of edge. This styling captures her dynamic energy as an artist.
Another look for Bianca Gomes, featured in a magazine spread. Here, I layered a casual denim jacket over a ruffled polka-dot dress to create a look that is both soft and strong, reflecting the inspiring journey of independent Indian artists.
This is a portrait of the incredible artist Karsh Kale that I styled. The focus was on creating a timeless and contemplative look with a striped suit jacket, capturing his artistic depth in a simple, powerful black and white shot.
About Editorial & Magazine Features
When we plan an editorial shoot, my focus goes beyond just the clothes. I prioritize the fabric's movement under studio lighting and how it interacts with the photographer’s composition. Whether you need a futuristic, high-fashion aesthetic or a minimalist, timeless look, we start by mapping out the visual narrative so every layer serves the final frame.
Building a Visual Story
Editorial styling is not just about layering garments; it is about building a character and setting a mood that resonates off the page. In my magazine features, I often collaborate with directors and photographers to ensure the wardrobe enhances the visual storytelling. We start with a detailed reference deck that outlines lighting, poses, and wardrobe breakdowns, ensuring that even if we are shooting for an indie publication or a major outlet, the final image feels cohesive.
My On-Set Process
My role extends to the set itself. A major part of the work is managing fabric falls, adjusting collars, and re-steaming garments between shots to keep everything crisp. I also provide active monitoring throughout the day to ensure that each frame captures the intended aesthetic, whether it is a bold, rock-chic look or a quiet, contemplative portrait.
Collaborative Creative Direction
I believe the best work happens when everyone contributes. My process includes:
- Concept Development: Creating a reference deck that defines silhouettes, props, and color palettes.
- Volume Sourcing: Pulling a range of options to finalize the perfect looks.
- Team Synergy: Working closely with makeup artists and hair stylists to ensure the cohesive look we planned actually translates to the camera.
Whether we are shooting for a digital feature or a print spread, my goal is to make sure your style feels authentic to the story we are telling.
