About My Culinary Journey & The Classroom
When you walk into my academy, you won't just watch demos. We use real commercial setups—like planetary mixers and deck ovens—so when you finish our course, you aren't just a home cook; you're ready to run a professional kitchen. I started this journey when I was 16 because I noticed so many people struggling with the basics, or worse, feeling like they couldn't learn because they didn't have the 'right' background. That is why Varshini's Kitchen exists today. We are Asia's first pure veg culinary academy, located right here in Banashankari, and I have made sure this space feels less like a classroom and more like a real-world kitchen.
Why This Approach Matters
Many students come to me thinking cooking is just about following a recipe, but it is actually about technique. You will find that our workshops, whether it is a single-session bakery class or a month-long diploma, are designed to get you comfortable with the equipment you will actually use. If you want to open a cafe, you need to know how to manage food costs and source ingredients, not just how to bake a cake. I teach the business side alongside the cooking techniques.
The Learning Environment
We keep our batches intentionally small compared to big lecture halls because you need personal attention. You get to touch the ingredients, use the commercial-grade equipment, and, most importantly, taste what you create. From North Indian curries to intricate international pastries, every module is designed to be 100% vegetarian and eggless.
