A Glimpse into Our Homes

byVarnam Craft CollectiveStore at Indiranagar, BengaluruView full gallery

We don’t have stores; we have homes. Across Bangalore, Mysore, and Goa, we have built spaces that celebrate heritage, craft, and design. Step inside, leave the rush behind, and let our work tell you a story.

Our stores are a reflection of our ethos. Our Goa store, housed in a 150-year-old Indo-Portuguese home, honors its rich history while celebrating craft and design. We hope you feel the passion that has gone into creating this space.

Someone told me I have beautiful stores. I smiled and said, "We don’t have stores, we have homes." Our Goa home, housed in a 150-year-old villa, is a space that celebrates craft, heritage, and design. We just want you to feel at home.

Every Varnam store feels like home, and that's no coincidence. When we found this beautiful Indo-Portuguese villa in Sangolda, we knew we had found our next home. We wanted to create a space you can enjoy and wander through.

A few months ago, I stumbled upon this charming 150-year-old Goan villa. It was a heartfelt mission to breathe life back into this beautiful home. Today, it stands renewed and ready to tell its next chapter as the new home for Varnam.

Welcome Home. A look at the exterior and interior of our Goa store, a space carefully chosen for its energy and greenery. We want you to experience it holistically through its welcoming sights, sounds, and smells.

In every weave, a story is told. Step inside our Goa store, nestled within a 150-year-old Goan home, where Indo-Portuguese roots gently roam. It's a haven of beauty, timeless and bright.

Our journey began with Channapatna craft, and now we work with incredible craft clusters across India. At our new Goa store, every item is personally curated or custom-designed, staying true to my love for whimsical and functional design.

About this collection

When you walk into any of our spaces, you will not be chased by sales targets or pushy pitches. Our team is here to share the history of our artisans and the traditional techniques behind the wood and weaves. We want you to wander, touch, and feel the craft at your own pace, exactly as you would in your own living room.

Our spaces are an extension of the craft itself. We believe that handcrafted traditions are meant to be felt and held, which is why we built physical homes instead of standard showrooms.

In Indiranagar, Bangalore, we are nestled within a cozy 1970s house, while our Goa home is a 150-year-old Indo-Portuguese villa in Sangolda. In Mysore, our Gokulam space is a vibrant part of the neighborhood, where we collaborate with local gems like Sapa Bakery to nurture a true community. Each location is chosen for its energy, greenery, and potential to feel warm and welcoming rather than commercial.

When you visit, you are not just a customer. You are a guest in a space that honors heritage with a modern touch. Whether you are exploring our Channapatna toys, block-printed apparel, or unique home decor, you will find that these spaces are designed to make you pause, smile, and perhaps reconnect with a memory. We invite you to drop by, take your time, and experience the passion that fills every corner of our homes.

I am Karthik. I believe craft should not be a line item on a spreadsheet, but something that has space to breathe. That is why I have poured my heart into these homes, keeping them filled with stories, not just products.
