Bring home the joy of mindful play. Our Montessori-inspired wooden toys are designed to nurture your child's growth using safe, natural materials and 200-year-old Channapatna craft techniques.

Stacking toys are ideal playmates for kids aged 1 to 2. This video showcases some of our favorites, including the Montessori-inspired 'Forms on Pegs' and 'Ek ka Teen', and our popular 'Gyaani Goobes' owl stacker.

The Gyaani Goobe, or Wise Owl, stacker helps a child learn to match respective sizes, colors, and shapes in the right sequence. Handcrafted from medicinal 'Wrightia tinctoria' wood with non-toxic colors, it's a completely safe educational toy.

Our Gyaani Goobes, the wise owls, have been spreading smiles for a decade. What started as a cute stacking toy for children has become a popular home accent for adults too.

Our stacking toys are often rooted in Indian culture to encourage conversations with children. Arjuna’s Challenge is a beautiful stacking game inspired by the mythological story of Arjuna aiming at the eye of a fish to win Draupadi's hand.

Arjuna's Challenge is a stacking game that helps kids develop motor skills, grasp, and size discrimination. The goal is to stack the fishes atop each other using the bow and arrow, inspired by the story from the Mahabharata.

The Nartaki doll is a great way for your little one to engage in the essential life skill of stacking. Inspired by a vintage doll I found in a flea market, you can stack her up and then make her twirl.

'Forms on Pegs' is a Montessori-recommended activity for kids around 10 months and up. It develops manipulative skills, hand-eye coordination, and helps the infant understand object permanence and color coordination.

About this collection

What makes these toys special isn't just the bright colours; it's the 'Aale mara' wood we use. It is naturally soft and antimicrobial, meaning you don't have to worry when your little one decides to explore them with their mouth. Each piece—from our 'Gyaani Goobes' owl stacker to the 'Fishy Wishy' game—is designed to help your child master fundamental skills like pincer grasp and size discrimination, grounding their early development in the rhythm of traditional hand-turning.

Play with a Purpose

When we set out to create toys for learning, we didn't want to just make objects that sit on a shelf. We wanted to create tools that engage a child's natural curiosity. Whether it's our 'Ek ka Teen' stacker or the lacing 'String-a-Fish' game, every product here is built to assist with specific developmental milestones:

  • Motor Skills & Coordination: Activities like stacking 'Forms on Pegs' or solving 'Arjuna’s Challenge' help refine hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Cognitive Growth: Our games are designed to help toddlers with color recognition, size gradation, and logical problem-solving.
  • Safety First: We avoid plastic and synthetic coatings. We use medicinal 'Wrightia Tinctoria' wood and natural, non-toxic vegetable dyes, ensuring the toys are completely safe for mouthing and handling.

The Story Behind the Skill

Every toy you see here carries a history. We work directly with master artisans in Channapatna—like Pallavi, who runs her own workshop, and Hameed, who has been turning wood with us for over a decade. When you choose a toy from our collection, you aren't just buying a stacking set or a pull-along toy; you are supporting a 200-year-old craft tradition. We draw inspiration from Indian mythology and folk art, like our 'Twirling Theyyam' doll or the Mahabharata-inspired stacking fishes, to ensure that while your child plays, they are also subtly connecting with our cultural heritage. It is the joy of 'just enough'—simple, beautiful, and honest.
