About this collection
The United Cup is our annual stage for students of all ages to test their progress in a real tournament environment. Whether it is their first time performing Kata in front of judges or competing in Kumite sparring, every student gets to measure their growth against their own previous efforts, not just their opponents.
Our annual championship is more than a medal event; it is an extension of our daily curriculum. When students prepare for the United Cup, they are applying the Karate Budokan International (KBI) standards they practice in our Thane and Navi Mumbai dojos. We focus on two primary disciplines:
Kata and Kumite
- Kata: This is where we see true discipline. Students perform pre-arranged sequences of movements, demonstrating their understanding of posture, balance, and focus. It is the foundation of our training.
- Kumite: This is controlled sparring. It requires students to apply their timing, strategy, and self-defense skills under pressure, all within a safe, protected environment.
We organize these events to bring our community together. Parents, seniors, and beginners fill the stands to support each other, reinforcing the family culture we have built since 1989. For new students, watching these matches is the best way to understand the path from beginner to black belt. If you are looking to start your own journey, our regular sessions include the same techniques you see here, practiced in a group setting with dedicated guidance.
