Learn Gymnastics Vaulting at Tots N Teens
Vaulting is one of the most exciting parts of gymnastics. We focus on teaching the fundamentals of a powerful run, a precise hurdle, and a safe landing.
A young boy learns to vault, with a coach guiding him through the hand placement on the vaulting table. This hands-on approach ensures proper technique from the start.
A student practices his vault approach, using the springboard to jump to a raised mat, a drill that builds power and confidence.
This clip shows two different vaulting drills: one for practicing the run and hurdle, and another for working on the handstand position on the vault table.
A young boy practices his jump from a raised block to a soft mat, a foundational drill for learning to vault safely.
A gymnast practices her vault, jumping from the table to a soft landing, a drill that helps with air awareness and control.
Our vault station is set up for progression, with students practicing handstand pops on the vault table and front tucks onto soft mats.

About this collection
Vaulting looks like pure adrenaline, but the magic actually happens during the approach. We spend a lot of time on the run, teaching students how to hit the springboard at the right angle and speed. It is not about throwing yourself at the vaulting table, it is about controlling your energy so you can land safely and with confidence every single time.
Building Power and Precision
Our vaulting training at the Kudlu Gate and Electronic City branches is designed to be progressive. We start with simple box jumps to build comfort with height and gradually move to springboard work. Whether it is a tiny tot learning to jump or a junior student practicing handstands on the vault table, every step is monitored by our NIS-certified coaches.
Why Technique Matters
- The Approach: We drill the run and the hurdle until they become muscle memory.
- The Board: Learning to hit the springboard correctly is the difference between a high jump and a stumble.
- The Landing: Safety comes first. We use foam pits and soft mats to ensure that even when a student is learning a new move, they land comfortably.
Our Approach to Safety
Gymnastics involves risk, which is why we keep our coach-to-student ratio low. We focus on spotter-assisted learning, especially when introducing new vaulting drills. Our gym is equipped with FIG-certified gear, ensuring that the equipment behaves the way it should. We do not just want students to learn a skill, we want them to understand the mechanics so they can build strength and character, not just chase medals. If you have been hesitant about starting, know that we prioritize proper form and conditioning to keep our students injury-free and happy.
Tots N Teens
We are a team of former national gymnasts who decided that this sport should be for everyone. We built our space in Kudlu Gate because we wanted a place where learning to tumble and vault feels like hanging out with family.
