Contemporary Ballet Division
A rigorous fusion of classical precision and contemporary fluidity. We build dancers who command the stage with technical clarity and profound artistic intent.
A student from our Ballet Division practices a solo. The sequence begins from the floor and rises into classic ballet positions, demonstrating the narrative potential of the form.
A first soloist rehearsing a contemporary ballet piece. Her movements are imbued with a sense of character and emotion, showing how technique serves a greater artistic purpose.
An evolving voice on stage. This contemporary ballet solo reflects control, clarity, and a growing command of movement, blending a deep plié with graceful arm gestures.
This solo marks a beginning. A junior dancer performs a piece that is contemporary in spirit but grounded in ballet, carried by the courage of a first-time stage appearance.
A solo shaped by experience, yet open to discovery. In this contemporary ballet piece, a senior soloist dances with depth, demonstrating the fusion of classical lines with modern expression.
About Contemporary Ballet Division
Before you commit, know that this division demands physical endurance. We do not rush into choreography; we spend weeks on repetitive fortification drills for weight transfer and pelvic alignment. If you are looking for a casual weekend drop-in, this will not fit your expectations. If you are here to build a soloist's foundation, you will find the environment you need.
This program serves those who understand that technique is the language of dance. Our Contemporary Ballet Division merges the structural integrity of classical ballet with the visceral, honest movement of contemporary dance. You will not find shortcuts here.
We begin with the floor. Every session addresses core strength and mechanical alignment. We focus on weight transfer, inversion techniques, and the vocabulary of movement required for soloist performance. In our Andheri studio, we utilize professional sprung wooden flooring specifically to support the impact of this fusion style, ensuring injury prevention while you push your physical limits.
The curriculum is designed for consistency. Expect high-frequency technical feedback—pointing toes, pelvic stability, and arm carriage are corrected in real-time. This is not about learning a routine; it is about building the body’s capacity to execute complex artistic narratives.
SOLUS, our annual recital, acts as the ultimate checkpoint. It is where technique meets stagecraft, and you demonstrate what you have built. Whether you are a junior dancer or an adult seeking an integrated foundation, the path remains the same: discipline, repetition, and growth. If you are ready to treat your body like an instrument and your training like a career, we are here.
