Rigorous Contemporary and Jazz Dance Training
We do not offer hobby classes. We build dancers through foundation, technique, and old school drills.
A senior soloist rehearsing in the studio. Her movements, from a wide second-position plié to a controlled lunge, demonstrate the power and precision I cultivate in my dancers.
Language is rendered redundant when you dance contemporary. A senior soloist explores fluid movement, showcasing a cartwheel into a controlled fall, demonstrating mastery over momentum.
A senior soloist rehearsing a contemporary piece. The sequence shows a range of movements from grounded lunges to expansive backbends, highlighting the dynamic quality of the style.
Fortification of weight transfer is critical. Three of my senior soloists work on a floor sequence that requires core strength and precise timing to move in unison.
A dancer from the Contemporary Division practices a sequence. The movements are fluid yet strong, showing the control needed to transition smoothly between different levels and dynamics.
This rehearsal clip shows a dancer executing a series of turns and floorwork. This is part of the process of embedding choreography into muscle memory until it becomes second nature.

A look into a Contemporary Division class. Dancers work on traveling steps and dynamic jumps across the floor, building stamina and stage presence.
My Contemporary Division students rehearsing a piece with lyrical and balletic influences. The focus here is on graceful arm movements, or port de bras, and clean, extended lines.

About Contemporary & Jazz Divisions
You will not memorize choreography in your first week here. My training focuses entirely on the fortification of weight transfer and core alignment through repetitive, old school drills. If you are ready to build the physical strength required for complex movement rather than just learning steps, this is where you start.
I treat dance as a rigorous culture, not a shortcut to a hobby. My contemporary and jazz programs are designed for those who want to understand the mechanics of their own bodies. We work on the floor, at the barre, and through intense repetition to ensure your foundation is ironclad. We use professional sprung wooden floors to support your joints while you endure the necessary sweat of technical training. Each session includes high-frequency feedback because I believe in correcting micro-movements like pelvic alignment and toe pointing until they become muscle memory. Whether you are an adult beginner or a junior conservatory student, the protocol remains identical: no phones, no shortcuts, and total focus. This is a space for individuals who want to develop a professional standard of control, nuance, and artistry. If you are seeking a place to play with steps, look elsewhere. If you are ready to give everything to the craft, you will find your place in these classes.
