About A Closer Look: Our Fabrics & Details
When I design these pieces, I look for the 'itch factor' first. That is why every piece of gold or silver lace we use is lined on the reverse side. It ensures that the trim stays beautiful on the outside but feels like soft fabric against your child's delicate skin on the inside, so they can twirl and play without a fuss.
Our Fabric Philosophy
At Little Bear, our process starts with the fabric. I source only 100% pure, breathable cotton, opting for textures like cambric and khadi that actually soften with every wash. Unlike synthetic materials that trap heat and irritate sensitive skin, these natural fabrics allow children to run, jump, and play all day without overheating.
Construction That Cares
We pay close attention to the construction to make sure there are no pressure points or scratchy seams. For our boys' Nehru jackets, we add a soft inner lining that provides structure without the bulk or roughness of stiff interlining materials.
Gentle Details for Active Kids
- Trim Placement: On our girls' festive sets, we place soft Gota trims only on the outer layers, never touching the skin directly.
- Waistbands: Our bottoms feature a soft, 0.75-inch elastic that stays put without digging in, which is perfect for little ones still in diapers or those hitting quick growth spurts.
- Adjustability: Many of our Angarkha tops include tie-ups that allow you to adjust the fit as your child grows, rather than forcing you to size up immediately.
