Modern Architectural Facades and Commercial Exteriors
A building's facade is its first handshake with the public. We design exteriors that blend modern materials with functional layouts, turning your hotel or commercial space into a recognizable landmark.
This is a frontal elevation render for the Divine Retreat Inn, showcasing its clean, modern lines and balanced composition. The design features prominent signage and a mix of open balconies and rhythmic windows to create a welcoming and professional look.
An angled view of the Divine Retreat Inn highlights its relationship with the surrounding environment. The design incorporates a modern entrance canopy and large ground-floor windows to create a transparent and inviting connection to the street.
This evening render of the Divine Retreat Inn demonstrates the impact of architectural lighting. The illuminated signage and strategically placed lights accentuate the textured facade, giving the building a sophisticated and dynamic presence after dark.
This video reveals the architectural concept for "Brew Beverages," a modern cafe. The design features a distinctive geometric facade with large glass panels, creating a visually interesting exterior that offers a glimpse of the inviting atmosphere inside.
About Architectural Exteriors & Facades
When designing a hotel or cafe facade, we don't just focus on the look. We analyze the 'rhythm' of the street. For the Divine Retreat Inn, we used vertical glass paneling and layered evening lighting not just for style, but to ensure the building maintains a consistent presence whether a guest is driving past at night or walking by during the day.
Our Approach to Architectural Design
Architecture is where we balance the client's vision with the reality of site constraints. A facade has a heavy job: it needs to be weather-resistant, cost-efficient, and visually arresting. We typically begin by analyzing the orientation of your plot. In Delhi NCR, where direct sunlight can heat up interiors, we often use shading elements and recessed windows that offer protection while keeping the structure looking sharp.
Materiality & Technique
We love playing with textures. Using concrete, glass, and metal cladding isn't just about the 'modern' label; it is about longevity.
- Glass & Transparency: We use full-height glazing for lobbies or cafes to create an inviting interior-to-exterior connection.
- Layered Lighting: We don't just install lights. We place them to accentuate the textures of the building. This is crucial for hospitality projects like hotels, where the building needs to look welcoming at 9 PM just as much as it does at 9 AM.
- Structural Integration: Design is useless if it's not buildable. We coordinate with structural engineers early on for column placement, ensuring that our ambitious glass designs don't compromise the stability of the hotel or retail structure.
The Process
From the first 2D doodle to final 3D renders, we remain involved. We create photorealistic visualizations so you know exactly how the facade will look with specific materials before a single brick is laid. Whether you are building a boutique hotel in a busy neighborhood or a cafe on a main street, we handle the technical shop drawings and site supervision to make sure the final result on-site matches the dream in our sketchbooks.
The Chhat Studio
I’m Priya, and at The Chhat Studio, we treat facades like a building's business card. I spend my time balancing site realities with bold design, ensuring that what we draw on paper actually transforms your property into a local landmark.
