Where Stories Meet Science
I turn your child's favorite books into hands-on STEAM challenges. We bridge the gap between imagination and engineering, proving that science isn't just theory—it’s something you can build, break, and rebuild.
This video shows how stories become a doorway to discovery. We read about bubbles and rainbows, then experimented with catapults and magnets. When STEAM meets storytelling, learning feels like magic.
We brought the story 'Room on the Broom' to life with a lesson on balance. The children experimented with heavy and light objects, creating their own balancing tools and learning a core physics concept through a magical tale.
Finding balance with fun. In this STEAM session, our little learners explored gravity and balance by crafting their own balancing toys and testing their skills by jumping on one leg. Every wobble was a giggle and a lesson.
Here, the children are deeply focused, crafting their own balancing toys. This hands-on activity helps them understand scientific concepts like gravity and center of mass in a tangible way.
A closer look at the balancing toys our little scientists created. This STEAM activity combined art with engineering, as they decorated their creations after figuring out how to make them balance perfectly.
Our young scientists became 'Little Chefs of Nature' in this session on photosynthesis. Through a hands-on experiment, they discovered how plants make their own food, learning about chlorophyll and sunlight in an engaging way.
On Dot Day, we discovered that a single dot can become anything, from a rocket window to a wiggly caterpillar. This activity, inspired by the story, shows how a simple starting point can unleash incredible imagination and creativity.
This video captures the essence of our holistic approach. From storytelling about sandcastles to coding, LEGO builds, and robotics, our sessions are designed to help children explore, imagine, and grow.
This image captures a S.T.E.A.M. Storytelling session in full swing. I connect scientific thinking with narrative to nurture creativity and critical thinking, all while the children are captivated by a story.
Exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on discovery. Here, children are working together on a STEAM project, learning through collaboration and experimentation.
About Where Stories Meet Science
In every session, we follow a simple 'Book-to-Activity' format. We don't just read a story; we dissect it. If a character builds a bridge, we discuss the engineering behind it. If a character floats, we explore air resistance. By the time we put the book down, your child has already tested their first physics experiment.
This approach works because it contextualizes complex concepts like gravity, balance, and chemical reactions within a narrative children already know and love. We don’t lecture—we explore. For example, reading Room on the Broom isn't just about witches; it’s our launchpad for a lesson on center of mass and balance. Kids construct their own tools, test their durability, and refine their designs.
Our sessions are designed for small groups of 8-12 children to ensure every child gets hands-on time with the materials. Whether we are exploring air pressure with homemade rockets or building gravity-defying structures, the goal is to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills that last. If your child comes home with questions instead of answers, we have done our job right. We operate out of residential clubhouses in Sion East and Wadala East, keeping the environment safe and familiar for local families.
The Brain Wagon
I’m TheBrainWagon. I believe that if a kid isn't getting their hands dirty, they aren't learning. I focus on making STEAM accessible through storytelling, turning messy experiments into 'aha!' moments.
