Celebrating Through Play
I believe festivals are the perfect backdrop for learning. In these camps, we explore the stories, traditions, and science behind celebrations like Diwali, Christmas, Halloween, Holi, and Janmashtami through themed crafts, sensory activities, and interactive storytelling.
For Valentine's Day, we explored love and connection through heartwarming stories, sensory play with hearts, and even some fun coding challenges. It was a week of holistic learning where every activity was designed to connect the heart and mind.
What's winter without a snowman? In our Winter Wonderland session, we created our own snow and built snowmen, combining sensory play, creative crafts, and movement to celebrate the season with joy.
This video is a look back at how we celebrated festivals throughout the year. From the sparkle of Diwali to the spooky fun of Halloween and the joy of Christmas, each celebration became a lesson in culture, creativity, and connection.
Our Christmas celebration was a family affair. Parents joined in for games, we danced to festive music, and the kids got creative with color-by-code activities and painting their own baubles. It was a beautiful reminder that the magic of Christmas comes alive when families play together.
We brought the story of Rudolph to life with a glowing reindeer nose experiment and a fun Christmas scavenger hunt. The children listened to festive stories and then crafted their own ornaments to take home, turning a simple story into a magical experience.
On Children's Day, I love to celebrate the little learners who inspire me every day. This video is a tribute to their curiosity and creativity, showcasing moments from our sand-writing and rangoli-making sessions.
Halloween is the perfect time for some spooky science. Here, our little learners are engaged in a STEAM session, building cup towers and experimenting with a fiery (but safe!) chemical reaction. It’s a great example of how I mix stories, science, and hands-on fun.
During our Diwali storytelling session, the children explored the festival of lights through stories, games like Diwali Bingo, and sparkly crafts. Dressed in their festive clothes, they learned about diyas, sweets, and the magic of the celebration.
A glimpse into our Diwali Magic Workshop, where we made beautiful rangoli with flower petals. The session was a mix of science, art, and sensory play, all sprinkled with the sparkle of the festival.
We brought the epic of Ramayana to life by having the children build their own Ram Setu bridge. They followed the paw prints, learning about the story of Lord Rama and Hanuman in a physical, interactive way.
