Ever wonder how a blank room becomes a proper 'Shaadi wala ghar'? This is the messy, honest process behind every arch and backdrop I build.

This is what my brain sounds like when I'm decorating an event! A fun look at the process of creating a simple but elegant white balloon arch with a fairy light backdrop.

From the first message to the final reveal, I'm here to make your day unforgettable. This video shows the journey of creating beautiful, personalized decorations for my clients' most important days.

A simple and elegant balloon gate in pink and white, perfect for welcoming guests to a first birthday party or any special celebration.

Mascots are a fantastic way to bring a theme to life and entertain the kids! I can help arrange for mascots like unicorns or teddy bears to make your party extra special.

A classic and affordable birthday backdrop. This setup with pink and black balloon pillars and a silver fringe curtain is a great option for office parties or home celebrations.

A quick look at some of the varied and colorful decorations I've created. From black and gold elegance to pretty pink florals, I can design a setup for any style and occasion.

A simple and classic balloon arch in blue, white, and gold. This versatile design is perfect for a first birthday, especially for a Janmashtami-born baby, or any other celebration.

Turning one is a big deal! This modern and stylish first birthday setup uses a bold yellow, black, and silver color scheme to create a memorable and chic party vibe.

I love playing with color palettes! This video shows how a combination of maroon, peach, white, and gold balloons comes together to create a unique and beautiful butterfly-themed decoration.

About The Magic in Making: A Look Behind the Scenes

People see the final balloon arch on Instagram, but they don't see the hours of blowing up 500 balloons, the tape sticking to my clothes, or the specific struggle of leveling a backdrop in a crowded Virar apartment. I don't use heavy metal frames for the simple wall setups; it is all about careful tape work and structural planning to make sure nothing sags while you are cutting the cake. Every setup you see here is one I have built by hand, often in tight spaces where we have to get creative with how we anchor the decor.

I started The Bombay Events because I wanted to create that specific joy—the kind you feel when you walk into a room and realize it is finally celebration-ready. When I am on-site, it is rarely as calm as the photos suggest. The floor is usually covered in discarded balloon plastic, I am probably double-checking the neon light wiring, and there is almost always a family member popping in to see if it is ready yet. That is the 'messy fun' part that I actually love.

The Reality of Home Decor

Working in homes across Virar, Vasai, and Nallasopara means I have learned to adapt to every floor plan. Whether it is a living room for a Naamkaran Sohala or a rented hall for a first birthday, the process stays the same:

  • Preparation: I pre-inflate a lot of the base work so I am not taking up your entire day at the venue.
  • The Build: I focus on 'organic' garlands—which just means balloons of different sizes clustered together for that modern, full look. It takes longer than a standard string-of-pearls arch, but it looks so much better in photos.
  • The Details: Whether it is hanging the character cutouts for a Cocomelon theme or setting up the plinths for a cake table, I make sure the focal point is ready for the first guest arrival.

If you are worried about space, don't be. I have set up 'party zones' in rooms as small as 10x10 feet. It is not about the size of the room; it is about how we use the walls and floor to make it feel special. If you want to see how we handle your specific venue, let's chat about what we can fit in your space.

I’m Nikita, and I started The Bombay Events after decorating my dad’s 60th birthday. Since then, I’ve moved from one small living room setup to helping over 500 families in Virar-Vasai celebrate their Naamkaran Sohala and birthdays. I’m the one on the floor taping those garlands, and I’m the one who makes sure the neon sign is perfectly straight.
