About Family & Sibling Portraits
Planning a family session with a newborn requires patience, especially when older siblings are involved. In my Thane studio, we keep the pace slow and relaxed, focusing on natural interactions rather than forced poses. I guide parents and siblings on simple, comfortable positioning that prioritizes the baby’s safety while ensuring everyone feels at ease during the shoot.
Capturing the Connection
Those first few weeks are a whirlwind, and it is easy to miss the quiet, beautiful moments happening in your living room. My goal with these family and sibling portraits is to freeze that specific time. It is not just about the baby; it is about the way a big brother holds their new sibling, or the look of shared exhaustion and joy between new parents.
How We Work at the Studio
My studio in Kalwa, Thane, is equipped to be a comfortable space for your entire family.
- Safe and Controlled Environment: We keep the studio warm and quiet to ensure the baby stays asleep and settled.
- Focus on Comfort: If the baby needs a feed or a change, we stop. If a toddler sibling needs a break to play or eat a snack, we pause. There is no rush.
- Natural Posing: I prefer simple, timeless poses. I will guide you into positions that look natural, using the environment to highlight the bond between family members rather than having everyone stare stiffly at the camera.
Preparing for Your Session
To keep the focus on your expressions and connection, I recommend avoiding busy patterns or logos. Solid, neutral, or coordinating colors work best for family photos. If you are bringing siblings, consider their comfort. Bring a favorite toy or a snack to keep them happy, and plan for them to be part of the session for a short time before they get restless.
We can incorporate different setups—from classic family poses to macro shots of the baby with parents' hands. Everything is tailored to what feels right for your family.
