About Sibling & Newborn Sessions
Getting a toddler to sit still with a newborn is tricky, so I keep these sessions relaxed and low-pressure. I usually start with the newborn to get them settled, then bring the sibling in for those natural moments where they are just looking at or holding their new brother or sister. My Ghatkopar studio is air-conditioned and designed for these transitions, so nobody feels rushed or stressed during the shoot.
When I shoot newborns with siblings, my priority is safety and comfort over stiff posing. Babies are unpredictable, and toddlers have their own energy, so I don't force them into uncomfortable positions. Instead, I use props like small chairs or soft baskets where the older sibling can sit securely while interacting with the baby.
In the studio, we have a variety of wraps, outfits, and props like the Little Krishna set or soft underwater themes shown in the gallery. These setups help keep the baby calm while we capture those fleeting expressions. For the older sibling, it is less about looking at the camera and more about the connection—whispering, holding hands, or just watching the baby sleep.
