About Classic Newborn Posing
The most successful newborn sessions happen when your baby is between 5 and 15 days old. During this short window, babies are typically sleepier and more comfortable staying in those classic, curled-up poses. I build my schedule around this, ensuring we have plenty of time for feeding and snuggles so the experience is stress-free for both you and your little one.
In my Kalwa studio, safety is the foundation of every setup. Whether we are using wraps, baskets, or floral nests, I prioritize your baby's comfort above everything else. My sessions are designed to be slow-paced; there is no pressure to rush if your baby needs a feeding break or simply more time to settle. I offer a variety of color palettes—from soft, neutral whites to rich, warm tones—that highlight your baby's features rather than overwhelming them. We can focus on classic wrapped portraits that keep the baby secure, or incorporate meaningful props that make the photos feel uniquely yours. If you are looking for family newborn photography, I include parents and siblings in the session, focusing on the connection and the quiet joy of these first few weeks. Everything is provided in-studio, including the wraps, bonnets, and setups, so you only need to bring yourself and your baby.
