This is the magic of printmaking. We start with an idea, learn to carve it, roll on the ink, and then use the press for the grand reveal. I love seeing the excitement on a student's face when they pull their first print.
Look at that smile. This is the best part of my job, seeing a young artist proudly show off a piece they created with their own hands. This collagraph project allowed her to play with textures and shapes to make something truly unique.
Our paper pulp workshops are a wonderfully messy and creative experience. Here you can see our students learning to mix pulp, add natural textures, and form their own handmade paper, all while having a fantastic time together.
The level of detail and artistry that comes out of our woodcut workshops is always amazing. This young artist created a powerful image of a phoenix, mastering the carving technique to produce a bold, professional-quality print.

In our artist's book making camps, we combine printmaking, drawing, and storytelling. Here, young creators are completely absorbed in filling their handmade accordion books with their own unique worlds and narratives.

Hands-on Learning at The Art Room

Printmaking and Beyond
Our printmaking modules, such as our signature 5-day camps, offer real-world experience with professional equipment. You will learn to build textured plates for Collagraphy, master the precision of Dry Point, and create bold designs with Woodcut carving. Every participant takes home their original etched plates and master copies.
A Space for All Ages
We run workshops for kids aged 4 and up, alongside adult-focused weekend intensives. Whether you are splashing around with paper pulp, hand-building clay pots, or binding your own artist's books, our approach is always the same: keep it interactive, keep it messy, and make it your own.
