This painting is my interpretation of humanity's impact on Mother Nature. It’s a deeply symbolic piece that contrasts life and decay, using cracked textures and a split color palette to tell a story of loss and a plea for awareness.
This abstract oil portrait was created using palette knives to build thick, expressive strokes. I wanted to capture a raw, regal emotion through texture and a non-traditional color palette, showing how different mediums can completely change the mood of a piece.
About this collection
When I paint, I rarely stick to just one medium. You will see pieces here that layer heavy-body acrylics with palette knives for that distinct 3D texture, alongside delicate watercolor studies. Whether it is a cosmic concept or a stylized portrait, I build layers until the emotion feels right, often leaving some parts raw if the story demands it. My process is rarely linear. It starts with an idea, often born from a feeling or a 'convoluted thought,' which I then try to map onto paper or canvas. For my large format conceptual works, I use complex mixed media—acrylics, oils, and inks—to build depth. For my portraits, I play with non-traditional color palettes, like blue skin tones, to express inner states rather than just physical likeness.
Every piece in this collection is a one-off. My watercolor and gouache illustrations are done on heavy 300 GSM paper to ensure they last, while my textured canvas works are finished with varnish to handle local humidity.
