About Custom Memory Jewelry: Your Flowers, Your Story
Because I work alone and each piece undergoes a 2-3 week drying phase in silica gel followed by careful resin layering, the entire process takes about 5 weeks. This is not just manufacturing; it is intentional preservation, and the wait ensures your memory is captured perfectly.
Every piece of memory jewelry starts with your story. Whether you want to preserve a wedding varmala, a bouquet from a first date, or even beach shells and sand from a honeymoon trip, my goal is to give these items a second life that you can wear every day.
How the Preservation Works
I use a specialized silica gel drying technique that takes two to three weeks to pull moisture out of your botanicals while retaining their color and shape. Once they are dry, I carefully set them into high-grade, UV-resistant resin. This prevents the yellowing often seen in lower-quality resin art. Because I handle every step from the initial drying to the final polish, I can offer custom design consultations where we decide on background pigments or gold foil additions together.
Practical Details
You are responsible for shipping your fresh or dried flowers to my Bangalore studio. I recommend using a secure courier for fresh blooms to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. Once they arrive, I provide photographic progress updates during the drying and layout phases, so you are involved in the design journey.
Choosing Your Metal
Most of my daily wear pieces use anti-tarnish stainless steel for durability. However, for heirloom-quality pieces that you plan to keep for a lifetime, I offer 925 Sterling Silver settings. During our design chat, we can discuss which base best fits your budget and usage. Handmade items may have small, unique characteristics that machine-made goods do not have, but that is the charm of having something truly one-of-a-kind.
