Behind My Craft: The Slow-Made Process
Every piece I create begins here in my Bangalore studio. It is a slow, patient process of preserving nature's beauty, one layer at a time.
The simplest moments are often the most calming. I love collecting fresh blooms, pressing them, and waiting to see how nature transforms them. This slow process is the heart of everything I create.
When clients come back for more, it is the biggest compliment I can receive. It means they felt the emotion and trust me again with their memories. It is why I pour so much patience and heart into every piece.
Welcome to The Olive Lane. Every piece of jewelry I make begins with a carefully chosen dried flower, which I preserve in resin to create a slow made treasure that reflects your individuality.
I am always working on new designs. Here is a sneak peek of some new bezel shapes I am preparing, from hearts and clouds to classic ovals. I am excited to reveal the final pieces soon.
I am so grateful to be living this dream. Two years ago, I couldn't have imagined that a hobby could turn into a business. Thank you for all your love and support. Here is a glimpse of my work today.
If you own one of my jewelry pieces, you know the hard work that went into it. Cleaning the resin overflow is a tedious but necessary step to ensure each piece is perfect before its next coat.
I still remember the awe I felt creating my very first resin pendant. Years later, as I create my latest pieces, I still feel that same sense of wonder at the possibilities of this medium.
About Behind My Craft: The Slow-Made Process
Most people don't see the hours of cleaning resin overflow or the days spent waiting for layers to cure when they look at the finished jewelry. That patient waiting is the only way I ensure your piece does not just look pretty, but actually lasts.
In a world of mass production, I choose to keep things slow. My work starts with collecting blooms, often pressed for weeks in silica gel to lock in their natural color. In my Bangalore studio, I hand-pour high-grade UV-resistant resin in multiple stages. It takes days for each layer to cure, and because I work alone, I can personally inspect every piece for bubbles or uneven edges.
This isn't just about making jewelry, it is about honoring the memory behind the flower. Whether it is a wedding varmala or a single daisy from your garden, I treat every material as a story I am helping preserve. I use stainless steel and anti-tarnish metals because I want you to wear these pieces, not just store them away. When you buy from me, you are getting an item that has gone through a cycle of drying, casting, sanding, and polishing, all done by my own hands.
