Styling Ideas and Floral Symbolism in Handmade Jewelry
See how to pair real-flower pieces with your outfits and learn the stories behind the petals I use in my work.
There is something magical about jewelry made with real flowers. Here are some of my lovely customers and style lovers wearing their favorite pieces, from dainty earrings to bold statement jhumkas.
Each flower holds a special meaning. With every order, I include a "Know Your Flowers" card that explains the symbolism behind the blooms in your piece, whether it's love, friendship, or resilience.
Looking for the perfect earrings to go with your elegant white suits? Here are a few of my handmade floral designs that add a beautiful pop of color to a classic outfit.
Finding the perfect earrings for a gorgeous pink salwar suit can be a challenge, so let me help. Here are some of my botanical earring designs that beautifully complement this vibrant color.
Asters are one of my favorite flowers to work with, and they come in many colors with different meanings. White symbolizes innocence, pink means love, and purple represents wisdom.
Larkspurs are another favorite of mine, and their meaning changes with their color. Pink can symbolize fickleness, white suggests a happy nature, and purple often represents a first love.
About Styling & Flower Stories
Because I use real, pressed flowers, the colors can vary slightly from what you see in pictures. This isn't a factory flaw, it's nature. When you choose a pair of earrings or a pendant, you aren't just getting an accessory. You are wearing a genuine bloom that has been preserved, meaning no two pieces in my studio will ever be identical.
Styling Your Floral Jewelry
I often get asked how to style these pieces with Indian wear. My philosophy is simple: let the outfit breathe. If you are wearing a heavy suit, a single botanical pendant or simple studs can pull the look together without competing with your embroidery. For solid-colored outfits like white or pink suits, I love pairing them with resin pieces that contain contrasting floral elements. It creates a pop of color that feels deliberate and fresh.
The Language of Flowers
Every flower I use carries a meaning, which I often include on a small card with your order. For instance, I frequently work with Asters and Larkspurs. Asters are often associated with love and wisdom, depending on their color, while Larkspurs symbolize lightheartedness and youth. Wearing these isn't just about fashion; it is about carrying a little bit of that symbolism with you throughout your day.
Why Slow-Made Matters
I do not mass-produce my work. Every earring is poured, sanded, and finished by me in my Bangalore studio. This process takes time, often several days for the resin to cure perfectly. When you buy from me, you are supporting a slow-made approach where quality and intention come before speed. If you have a specific color palette in mind for an upcoming event, reach out. I enjoy working on custom combinations to ensure your jewelry matches your outfit perfectly.
