Behind the scenes of our baby photoshoots
Ever wonder what really happens during a shoot? It is rarely perfect silence. It is a mix of play, patience, and managing tiny, unpredictable energies. Here is how we turn the chaos into art.
This video shows the journey from a playful behind the scenes moment to a polished, perfect final portrait. It's a testament to the process of capturing genuine smiles.
Watch how I build a theme from the ground up. This video shows the transformation of my studio space into a rustic autumn scene, ready for a magical photoshoot.
A festive behind the scenes look at a Christmas mini session. It captures the fun, the chaos, and the pure joy of a toddler exploring a holiday-themed set.
About this collection
The most important part of my process is patience. If a baby needs to feed or a toddler wants to explore the studio instead of sitting on a prop, we pause. I use dedicated spotters for every session to keep your child safe while I focus on the camera, ensuring that we never force a pose or rush a moment that feels authentic.
Many people see the final, polished portrait and assume it was a quick click, but the work starts long before the lens cap comes off. At my JP Nagar studio, I spend hours setting up themes, whether it is a rustic autumn scene or a traditional setup for a festive milestone.
Why the process matters
Safety is non-negotiable. For newborn sessions, I use soft wraps and specialized posing techniques, always supported by a spotter to ensure your baby is never in an unstable position. When working with toddlers, the studio is designed to be a safe, controlled environment where they can be themselves. If they want to run, they run. I simply move with them.
From setup to final edit
- Planning: We start by discussing the vibe, whether you prefer minimalist portraits or elaborate, storybook-themed sets.
- The Session: We allow flexible time for feeding, soothing, and nap breaks. You are never on a strict clock that prevents your baby from being comfortable.
- The Edit: Once the shoot is done, my work continues. I apply signature color corrections and skin smoothing to deliver high-resolution images that retain a natural look.
I believe the best photos aren't manufactured; they are caught. By handling the mess and the management of the shoot, I let you simply enjoy the experience of watching your child, rather than worrying about the camera.
Thapasvi Photography
I'm the person behind Thapasvi Photography. I don't believe in forced smiles or stiff poses, especially when kids are involved. My studio is a space where your baby can just be themselves, and I'm there to catch the real, messy, beautiful moments in between.
