Timeless Family and Sibling Portraits

If you are worried your toddler will not sit still for a portrait, that is exactly what I want to see. My best family photos come from children running around or giggling uncontrollably, not from them staring at a camera. I simply wait for that genuine interaction, letting the shoot unfold at your family’s pace rather than forcing a perfect, stiff pose.

Photography is often stressful for parents because they worry about their kids behaving. At my studio in JP Nagar or during home sessions, I have a different approach. I focus on the connection, not the compliance.

My Approach to Family Sessions

• The Power of Play: I do not believe in 'saying cheese.' If your child wants to explore, jump, or play with a toy, we incorporate that. Movement creates life in a photograph.
• Wardrobe Coordination: I always advise families to keep it simple. Matching colors are great, but comfort is better. If you have a specific family heirloom, a favorite blanket, or a uniform that represents your family, bring it. It adds a story to the frame.
• Sibling Dynamics: Capturing that bond between siblings is my favorite part. I set the stage, provide the props, and then wait for the moment they naturally interact. Whether it is a hug, a laugh, or even a classic sibling squabble, those are the images you will want to print.

Practical Details

I work with families across Bengaluru, either in my studio or at your home. For family sessions, I recommend booking at least three weeks in advance, especially for weekends. We take our time, so there is never a rush to finish. If the kids need a snack break or a quick nap, we pause. The goal is to capture the season you are in right now, not a manufactured version of it.
