About Tennis Coaching for Kids & Juniors
My Coaching Style
At First Touch Tennis Academy, I keep things real with my ‘Tennis Kiddos’. I believe the first time a kid hits the ball sets the tone for everything. My court is about hard work, yes, but also a whole lot of fun and encouragement. You’ll hear me shouting, "Come on... Push Yourself!" every single session.
What We Do on Court
- We drill the tennis basics for kids till it feels natural. Forehands, backhands, footwork - we keep repeating till muscle memory kicks in.
- Fitness and agility come next. Kids run, jump, and play with cones and ladders, always mixing in games so it never gets boring.
- Once the basics are set, we jump into youth tennis match-play. Real games help kids learn strategy and build confidence fast.
Training Options
- Group coaching is our main thing. Kids of different ages train together, but I always give one-on-one feedback when needed.
- Our kids tennis summer camp runs every year. Five days a week, with morning and evening batches, all outdoors on clay courts.
Motivation & Atmosphere
I reward effort, not just wins. There’s a ‘Player of the Week’ trophy up for grabs, and we celebrate every improvement, big or small. That moment when a kid lights up after a good shot? That’s why I do this.
Facilities
We’re mostly on clay courts, which are perfect for building solid skills. If school gets in the way, no stress - we’ve got floodlights for evening sessions too.
