Player of the Week Awards at First Touch Tennis Academy
I believe real progress on the court comes from consistency rather than just winning. Every week, I recognize students who show dedication, listening skills, and true passion through our Player of the Week award.

Taking a moment to chat with our youngest players after the weekly awards. I make sure every child feels seen and encouraged, which is especially important for beginner tennis lessons.
About this collection
Getting the award is never about having the best serve or the most wins. It is about attitude. I watch for who arrives early, who helps set up the nets, and who tries to fix their swing path even after a frustrating rally. That is the kind of effort I reward because that is what makes a tennis player in the long run.
Tennis is a long game. My coaching approach at First Touch Tennis Academy, located in Kadubeesanahalli, is designed to keep kids engaged through every stage of their development. By highlighting small wins like the Player of the Week, I help my students build confidence that sticks with them, both on and off the clay courts.
Why We Focus on Effort
When a child is starting out, the technical side of tennis can feel repetitive. We focus on forehands, backhands, and footwork, but the real challenge is keeping their spirits high. My weekly awards serve as a checkpoint to celebrate progress. Whether it is a student improving their toss, mastering a backhand slice, or simply supporting their peers during group sessions, I want them to know that their work is seen.
The Training Environment
We train on red clay courts, which are excellent for young players to learn control and rhythm. Our sessions are structured but flexible. We mix intense drills with agility games using ladders and cones to ensure the learning stays fun. Because we operate in small groups, every student gets individual feedback, which allows me to track their personal improvement and decide who earns the next award.
Coaching Philosophy
My goal is to foster a love for the sport that lasts a lifetime. Whether your child is joining our summer camp or our regular weekday group batches, they will find an environment that rewards trying hard. If you are looking for a place where your child can learn tennis skills and build character in a supportive atmosphere, this is the right place.
