We don't believe in just hitting notes; we help you find a voice that feels like you. In our vocal classes, you will practice with a mix of traditional harmonium training and modern mic techniques, ensuring you are truly stage-ready for our 'Expressions' events.
Learning to sing is a journey of confidence as much as it is about sur and taal. At Tansen Mehrauli, we keep the training grounded in tradition while making it accessible for everyone. Our vocal coach, Deepak Kumar from the Banaras Gharana, guides students through the complexities of Indian classical music. You will learn the foundational alankars, ragas, and taals on the harmonium, which builds a strong ear for pitch and tone.
Once you have the basics, we transition into what you actually want to sing, whether that is a soulful Bollywood ballad or a contemporary pop track. We use modern training tools, including microphone practice, to ensure you are comfortable in front of an audience. It is not uncommon to see our students practicing tracks like 'Agar Tum Saath Ho' or various sargam patterns during our group sessions.
We offer flexible formats to match your goals. Our group sessions (batches of 4 to 8) are fantastic for peer learning, where you pick up tips by watching others. For those looking to master specific songs quickly or who need help with vocal technique correction, our one-on-one mentorship provides a private space to focus entirely on your progress. All our students, regardless of the format, are invited to perform at our annual 'Expressions' event. This is the moment where months of riyaz (practice) turn into a performance that builds real, lifelong confidence.
