About Our 'Singathon' Singing Competition
Singathon is designed to help your child overcome stage fright in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment. Whether they are singing for the first time or love the spotlight, they get to perform with professional mic technique on a real stage at venues like the Veer Savarkar Auditorium. We focus on 'bhaav' (emotion) and joy, ensuring every participant walks away feeling like a star, regardless of the results.
Why Singathon?
Most kids are full of energy and emotion, but they often get scared when faced with a mic. I started Singathon to change that. This isn't a high-pressure contest where we nitpick every note. It is a celebration of courage.
The Experience
- Professional Setup: We take kids off the couch and onto a real auditorium stage. They learn how to hold a microphone, how to face an audience, and how to project their voice.
- Bollywood Themes: We focus on iconic songs from artists like Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Sonu Nigam. It connects them to music they already love.
- Age-Appropriate Categories: We have dedicated segments for different age groups (8-14 years and 15+ years), so kids compete and perform alongside their peers.
What We Value
My guru, Ashok Patki ji, taught me that 'bhaav'—your emotion—is your greatest strength. In this competition, we look for that connection. We want to see your child singing from the heart, not just hitting technical notes. Every participant receives feedback that encourages them to keep going, keep singing, and keep being happy. If you are in Mumbai or Pune and want your child to experience the thrill of performing, this is the perfect starting point.

I'm Manasi Kelkar Tambe. I started Singathon because I know that one performance can change a child's confidence forever. We don't just judge voices here; we celebrate the courage it takes to stand up and sing from the heart.
