Newborn Hand and Feet Photography
Those first weeks fly by, but the tiny details remain. I capture the soft, fleeting moments—like perfect marshmallow feet and tiny fingers—so you can hold onto them.
A collage of all the little things: tiny hands, wrinkly feet, a mother's kiss, and a father's touch. These are the details that make up the big picture of your love story.
The instinctual grasp of a newborn's hand around their parent's finger. It's one of the most powerful and simple connections.
A parent's hand gently holding their baby's tiny, delicate fingers. It shows the scale of just how small and new they are.
A tiny fist bump. A playful and sweet way to capture the bond between a parent and their new little buddy.
A father's hands cradling his baby's perfect little feet. I call these marshmallow feet, and they are just irresistible.
Another beautiful shot of a parent holding their baby's feet. The detail of the wedding ring adds another layer to the family story.
A close-up of a mother's hands holding her baby's feet. The tattoo on her wrist adds a personal and modern touch to this classic shot.
A beautiful, clean shot of a parent's hands cupping their baby's tiny pink feet. The focus is purely on this loving detail.
A mother's hand holding her baby's. A simple, timeless, and incredibly meaningful photograph.
A collage showing different angles of those precious hands and feet. These detail shots are a must-have in every newborn gallery.
About The Little Details
When I shoot these close-ups, I don’t use distracting props that overwhelm your baby. Instead, I rely on soft, natural light and a completely controlled, baby-safe environment in my Whitefield studio. My priority is keeping your little one calm and comfortable so we can get those perfectly relaxed, sleepy expressions.
There is something about a newborn that feels like a blur once you are in the thick of it. You are tired, you are adjusting, and suddenly they are growing faster than you can keep up with. These detail shots are my way of freezing time. When I look at a photo of a tiny thumb wrapped around a parent's finger or the delicate curve of an ear, I am reminded of how much love is packed into such a small space.
At my Whitefield studio, the session is never rushed. Babies move on their own schedules, and my job is to work around that, not the other way around. Whether I am photographing your baby's first curled-up toes or those soft, 'marshmallow' feet you see in my gallery, the environment is always warm, sanitized, and safe. I keep the focus minimal because, honestly, the baby is already the most beautiful thing in the room. You do not need loud themes or complex setups to tell this part of your story.
I treat these sessions with the same care I would for my own family. If you are looking for simple, clean, and honest portraits that capture the quiet wonder of your baby's first chapter, let’s talk.
