Capturing the Tiny Details of Your Newborn
They grow so fast, and the smallest features fade from memory the quickest. From the curl of a tiny finger to the delicate texture of a newborn's heel, I capture these fleeting details so you can hold onto them forever.

About It's All in the Details
These macro shots require absolute stillness and patience, which is why I keep my studio environment calm and temperature-controlled. I wait for those deep sleep cycles, ideally within the first 15 days of life, to gently pose those tiny fingers and toes. You aren't just paying for a photo; you are securing a safety-first session where your baby's comfort dictates the pace, not the clock.
The first few weeks of a baby's life are a whirlwind. While the grand, posed portraits are lovely, it is often these quiet, close-up details that parents find themselves returning to years later. The way their hand grips your finger, or the unique curve of their newborn feet, changes almost daily.
The Art of the Macro Shot
Capturing these features requires a specific approach. My sessions are designed to be slow and rhythmic, matching the needs of a newborn. Because infants startle easily, I use macro lenses that allow me to get close without crowding the baby's personal space. This keeps the environment serene, letting me focus on the textures—the soft skin, the tiny lashes, and the natural curls.
Why Timing Matters
I emphasize booking between 5 to 15 days after birth. During this window, newborns are naturally sleepier and more flexible, allowing me to pose them comfortably for these specific detail shots. After 15 days, babies tend to be more alert and less inclined to stay in the curled positions that make these photos so tender.
Safety First
Every detail shot is taken with the infant's safety as the priority. I am supported by trained assistants who ensure the baby is supported and secure at all times. Whether it is a hand-in-hand shot with a parent or a solo capture of their feet, the baby is never left unsupported. This calm, steady pace ensures we get the shot without ever causing stress to you or your little one.
