Editorial and Fashion Makeup Looks
Beyond weddings, I love the creative energy of editorial photography. Here is a collection of my work with brands, stylists, and models.
A beautiful group shot from a campaign for Thamarai Threads. I created coordinated, natural makeup looks for all the models to complement the pastel color palette of the sarees, showcasing a cohesive style perfect for a bridal party.
A video from the Thamarai Threads Onam shoot, featuring a fresh and festive look. The makeup highlights a natural, dewy glow, perfect for the traditional Kerala kasavu saree.
A close-up portrait showcasing a soft, earthy makeup look. The focus is on warm tones, defined brows, and a traditional nose ring, creating a look that is both classic and modern.
This shot from a fashion series shows a modern take on bridal glamour. The sleek, side-parted hair and diamond jewellery are paired with a makeup look that is both sophisticated and striking.
A dynamic shot capturing the movement of the lehenga. The makeup is designed to be flawless even in dramatic lighting, with a spotlight effect that highlights the model's features.
A full portrait from a fashion shoot featuring a beautiful silk saree. The makeup is warm and inviting, with softly curled hair and traditional gold jewellery completing the look.
This image captures a relaxed and elegant pose. The makeup is kept natural and radiant, proving that you can look glamorous without heavy layers.
About this collection
On fashion sets, lighting changes constantly. I focus on skin texture that holds up under studio strobes or direct sunlight, ensuring every look remains clean and camera-ready from the first click to the final edit.
Whether working on an ad campaign for a brand like Thamarai Threads or a creative fashion series, the demands of a shoot are unique. Unlike bridal makeup, which is designed to withstand a long wedding day, editorial makeup is about precision for the lens. I focus on skin prep that provides a luminous, even base that does not cake under high-intensity lights.
I really enjoy the collaboration that happens on these sets. It takes a team—the photographer, the stylist, the model—to create a vision. My role is to make sure the makeup complements the outfit and jewelry, never fighting for attention. I often use techniques that enhance the model's natural bone structure so they look strong in front of the camera, whether it is a close-up portrait or a full-length shot.
If you are planning a shoot, I am comfortable with both indoor studio setups and outdoor locations. I understand the nuances of 4K video and high-resolution photography, so I prioritize clean, skin-focused makeup that requires minimal retouching later. ❤️
